Question 1

Who is this for?

Accepted Answer

Students and early-career researchers working toward a published paper, a PhD offer, or both — from picking a topic and running the literature review to designing your methodology, writing the paper, and getting through peer review. If you're further along, we also offer 1:1 thesis/project supervision and research consulting for labs and institutions.

Question 2

Which courses do you offer?

Accepted Answer

Live courses across four areas: Foundations (Pathway to Research & PhD, PhD Application Masterclass), Literature & Proposals (Literature Review Masterclass, Research Proposal & Grant Writing), Writing & Publishing (journal papers, conference papers, thesis writing & viva prep), and Technical & AI Tools (statistics & experiment design, AI-assisted research workflows, HPC & cloud GPUs, and a LaTeX/Git toolkit for beginners). See the full course catalog for curriculum, pricing, and schedules.

Question 3

What free resources do you offer?

Accepted Answer

Plenty. There are free templates and checklists (supervisor emails, statement of purpose, PRISMA worksheet, reviewer response letters, viva questions, experiment protocols, SLURM scripts, and a LaTeX paper template), practical guides, browser tools (a GPU budget estimator, a significance test chooser, and a journal checklist), two 5-day email courses (research proposals and PhD applications), a course-matching quiz, and a free live Q&A on the first Friday of every month. Everything is on the free resources page.

Question 4

Which course should I take?

Accepted Answer

It depends on where you're stuck. New to research or applying for a PhD? Start with Pathway to Research & PhD or the PhD Application Masterclass. Writing a proposal or starting a literature review? See our Literature & Proposals courses. Ready to publish, present, or defend your thesis? See our Writing & Publishing courses. Need statistics, AI tooling, or compute skills? See our Technical & AI Tools courses. The course catalog has a "which course is right for me?" guide matched to specific situations.

Question 5

What are the prerequisites?

Accepted Answer

Most courses assume no prior research experience and start from fundamentals — Pathway to Research & PhD, the PhD Application Masterclass, the Literature Review Masterclass, and the Research Toolkit are all beginner-friendly. A few assume you already have a project or results, such as Writing Journal/Conference Papers, Statistics & Experiment Design, and HPC & Cloud GPUs — check each course page for specifics.

Question 6

How long is each course?

Accepted Answer

Each course is a single intensive live session (most run 3 hours), deliberately compact so you leave with a working system — not a 40-hour backlog you never finish. Each course runs once a month on its own day and time, so you can take several without their schedules clashing.

Question 7

Are the sessions recorded?

Accepted Answer

No. This is a live-only session — there's no recording, so plan to attend in person and stay for the full 3 hours.

Question 8

Will I actually build something real?

Accepted Answer

Yes — every course ends with working artifacts for your own project, not just notes. Each course page lists exactly what you'll leave with, from a paper draft or research proposal to a PRISMA flow diagram, a SLURM job-script library, or a packaged, reproducible GitHub repo.

Question 9

How do I pay and enrol?

Accepted Answer

Enter your name and email on the course page and pay securely by card via Stripe Checkout. Your seat is confirmed automatically the moment payment goes through, and we'll email you the details.

Question 10

What is the cohort size?

Accepted Answer

We keep seats intentionally limited (15-25 people max) to ensure high-quality interaction and Q&A time with the instructor.

Question 11

Is there a refund policy?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Full refund if you request it before the programme start date. No questions asked.

Question 12

Do you also offer 1:1 supervision or consulting for labs?

Accepted Answer

Yes. If you want hands-on 1:1 guidance on a thesis, capstone, or independent project, apply for supervision. If you're a university, lab, or research group looking to design a PhD pipeline or build AI-augmented research systems, see our research consulting.
